Port Largo Ninth Annual Fishing Tournament Sponsor's  Letter

Thanks for your help in sponsoring the Port Largo Residential Property Owner Fishing Tournament!

Port Largo held its Ninth Annual Fishing Tournament on Saturday May 28 out of the Port Largo Community Park.  The Port Largo Residential Property Owners Association hosts the event with the purpose building community spirit and getting the residents together in a fun family atmosphere.  The tournament was followed by a community picnic on Sunday where the catch was deep fried along with conch fritters and too many covered dishes to count.  An Awards ceremony was held and various donated prizes were given to the winners.  A good turn-out and great fun was had by all.

Fifty-four anglers were registered in three different categories of anglers (adult, junior, pewee and guest).  First, second and third place trophies and prizes were available in the three categories.  Also a perpetual trophy was awarded for the angler with the largest dolphin.  Additionally Sponsoring businesses throughout the upper keys contributed prizes which were awarded as door prizes to nearly every angler.  A very special thanks goes out to all the Sponsors.  The donated prizes made the tournament special.

Thanks again for helping us put together a very successful tournament.
