PLRPOA Board Meeting Minutes - June 2, 2004 |
The board meeting of PLRPOA was held at the home of Frances Simmons. Present were board members: Glenn Patton, Frances Simmons, Ann Henson, Bill Klokke and Mary Nelson.
The meeting was called to order at 7:50PM by Glenn Patton.
I. Minutes from the May 6, 2004 meeting were read by Mary Nelson and were approved as read.
II. The Treasurer’s report was read by Frances Simmons and approved as read.
III. FISHING TOURNAMENT
Glenn Patton advised the board that John Trejo will give us a detailed report which Glenn will send to all board members by email and also add to our website. Discussion was held regarding various clean up jobs to be completed. All agreed the tournament and picnic were a big success and enjoyed by all.
IV. HOMEOWNERS PARK
a) Glenn advised he will call David Boyd and Pennekamp before making application or incurring expenses for dock improvement and/or repair.
b) Bill Klokke reported on a meeting with Dick Morton, Mary Nelson and Nancy Klokke regarding work to be done on the parking lot surface. He handed out a sketch of dimensions of our park which he and Nancy made up for homeowners to use in submitting suggestions for park improvements.
V. KL COMMUNITY PARK
Motion: Glenn Patton made a motion to approve a request for night lighting past the normal hour for upcoming games at the park. The motion was seconded by Ann Henson and was passed unanimously.
VI. MARINA AVENUE – CRIME PREVENTION – TIM CALE
Glenn will follow up on letters from homeowners and will pass information along to Tim Cale requesting that Tim call us when problems occur and provide us with specifics such as Police Report Case number, etc.
Glenn passed out flyers for the 16th Annual Reef Sweep and Beach cleanup along Marina Avenue organized by Marlissa Clohecy and urged community participation.
VII. FEDERATION REPORT
Glenn Patton asked if we had all read the email he had sent our regarding the Moratorium and he briefly explained the Resolution.
Motion: a motion was made that our board support Resolution #039-2004, was seconded by Bill Klokke and was passed unanimously.
Wednesday, June 9th is the next Federation meeting.
NEW BUSINESS Frances reminded us to call the Police for Security Patrol for our Homeowner’s Park for the July 4th weekend.
Motion: Mary Nelson made a motion that we send the KL Volunteer Fire Department a 4500 donation. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously. Frances will send a check.
There being no new business our meeting is adjourned at 9:30PM. Our next meeting will be held in September, 2004 at the home of Frances Simmons
