A special meeting of the
board was called by John Wood at the Homeowner’s Park at 5PM. Present were Marshall Walker, John Wood,
Karen Sebastian, Mary Nelson, Edwina Lindeman and her husband, Bruce.
John Wood explained that
our entry gate had been damaged and that we will need to replace it. Our old gate was 16’ long. He has an estimate for a 22’ long gate for
$3,000. They will straighten out the
curve just after entering the park so the radius is wider driving in which
should work better for vehicles with boat trailers. He recommends an electric gate opener with a
heavy duty motor and photocells. There
could be a magnet under the ground which will open the gate as exiting. He also favors the card entry system with
programmable and reprogramable cards ($2 each).
There being a quorum
present, a motion to approve this expense was made, seconded and unanimously
carried.
A request was made for
“Children At Play” signs for our streets.
Albert and Cristine
Guernica have offered to have a block Christmas party at their house for our
community.
A request was made for
suggestions from homeowners for additional ways to use space in our homeowners
park to make our park more useful and enjoyable for our community.
The meeting was adjourned
at 6PM.
Respectfully submitted by
Mary Nelson, Secretary
